Overview

The most important thing to have with any new product (or actually any application) is product-market-fit ("PMF"). The fit can refer to an external market or to an internal market for business-tools. The easiest way to achieve PMF is by getting honest feedback from your users. As I don't like any of the tools available, I built one myself.

What's the problem with other tools?

To get honest feedback you need the following things:

  • You must be able to give feedback anonymously (privately) - if you fear repercussions, you will be biased.
  • It must be fast. You don't want to spend time or effort to get to the point of getting feedback.
  • It must be obvious. How does my feedback affect the outcome?

All tools I know make things to complicated. They cost something, they are technically challenging, unnecessarily complex, and/or show who you are.

How does FasterFeedback.app work?

The beauty is it's simplicity. You open the page, create a "Voteboard", add some "Feature Requests" and share it with a link. Anyone with the link (don't worry it isn't indexed by Google + can't be guessed randomly) can access the Voteboard and upvote existing feature requests and add their own. This way the owner of the application or tool knows exactly what to build next. But hey, a video is better than a thousand words, so here you go:

How was it built?

I actually made a YouTube video about that. It's all about I had the idea and just decided to build it.
